Teen Fitness Membership
Introducing the Y's Teen Membership!  It's the ONLY game in town for kids ages 13 - 18!  A
$311 Annual Membership Fee and a one time registration fee for the first year only entitles teens to use the fitness center, gymnasium, indoor pool, indoor and outdoor tracks, racquetball and squash courts, tennis courts, select group fitness and spin classes and the DFM Teen Lounge.

Please note the following parameters for teens in the Fitness Center/Weight Room; 6th grade – no use of the fitness center. Pool, tennis, racquetball, squash, basketball and specific teen oriented classes and programs are available. 7th and 8th grade – use of the fitness center is allowed with parent or guardian in the center with them. 9th grade and older – use of the fitness center is allowed by themselves.

Teen members also receive discounts on Y classes and events such as dance classes, teen trips and special events, social action projects, Bluestreak's championship swim team, babysitter basics, basketball leagues, flag football and soccer instruction and Photoshop and painter IX classes.

Membership Photo-ID Cards
Everyone must report to the Front Desk before proceeding beyond the lobby. A membership ID card is issued to all members. Members ages 6 and over receive a photo ID card. Whenever you visit the Y, whether to use general facilities or participate in a program, you must swipe your membership card at the Front Desk. We reserve the right to deny admission to anyone who repeatedly fails to present a membership card. Verification is done to enhance security and preserve the value of your membership by ensuring that all persons using the Y are members. To avoid delays, please bring your card. There is a $5 charge for the replacement of lost or damaged cards.
The card is non-transferable.

Membership Renewals
Approximately one month prior to the expiration on your membership account, you will receive a notice in the mail stating the amount to pay if you wish to renew. The anniversary date remains the same regardless of the actual date of renewal payment. When you join the Y, you are assessed a registration fee. If your membership should lapse and you wish to rejoin more than 90 days after your membership expiration date, you will be required to pay the registration fee again and your anniversary date will be adjusted accordingly.

Membership Upgrades
If, during the course of the year you wish to upgrade your membership (e.g., individual to family, full privilege to executive health club), you may do so at any time. You will pay the pro-rated difference between the new membership and the existing membership and your expiration date will remain the same.

Membership Hold
If, due to a physician-documented medical reason, you are unable to make use of the YM-YWHA of North Jersey for a period of a month or more consecutively, you may request to have your membership account put on hold until you are able to return.  When you are able to resume use of your privileges with physician-written approval, your account expiration date (and payment due dates if applicable) will be adjusted to reflect the time you were inactive.  Membership accounts may not be held/extended for any non-medical reason.  Documentation MUST be received PRIOR to the membership hold.  It will not be honored after the fact.

Cancellation Policy
Members may only cancel their annual contract mid-year without financial obligation for a physician-documented medical reason, or with proof of a move outside the Wayne area.  There is a $100 cancellation fee for other reasons of extenuating circumstances, with approval from the Executive Director.

Scholarship Assistance
The YM-YWHA of North Jersey believes in serving the needs of all members of our community, regardless of their ability to pay the full cost of membership or programs.  If you ever find yourself in the position, or know of someone who is, please ask for a financial assistance application from our membership department. All information is strictly confidential.
