Aquacize Fitness
YMHA classes for all Y members include ongoing year round skill development of stretching, strength training, agility and coordination. The class is based upon aerobic conditioning and body movement targeting muscle groups, which aid in balance, core strength and neuromuscular development. Free to all Y members.

Aqua Core Dynamics
This 45 minute aquatic class provides resistance training using your
core stabilization to explore and improve dynamic balance, strength,
agility and coordination. It will include intensity, alignment, muscle
involvement, muscle integration and stretching to achieve a full body
workout. Shallow and deep-water exercises will be included using
dumbbells, kickboards, noodles and balls. This low impact course is
appropriate for all ages and levels from beginner and up. Class size
is limited in order to provide individualized instruction. Class will
be filled on a first come first serve basis.

AQUA CORE DYNAMICS

COST: Members: $50.00 FOR MEMBERS; Non-Members $65.00

INSTRUCTOR: Bernadette C. O’Brien, SCW Certified Fitness Instructor in Shallow and Deep Water; Qi Gong and Tai Chi; Personal Trainer

This 45 minute Aqua Core Dynamics class provides resistance training using your core stabilization to explore and improve dynamic balance, strength, agility and coordination. You will include cardio, intensity, alignment, muscle involvement, muscle integration and stretching to achieve a full body workout and to realign the body for better posture in order to provide more support for the spine. Shallow and deep-water exercises are taught through music using dumbbells, noodles, and balls.
This low impact course is appropriate for all ages and levels from beginners on up.

Start the week with this unique aqua mind body experience. Address your stability (strength)
and mobility (flexibility) through the infusion of HATHA yoga, Qi Gong, and Tai Chi exercises.
You will learn though the adaptation for aqua fitness how to be more invigorated, energized and balanced through Yoga asanas;  Qi Gong exercises that develop stamina, unblock energy, improve breath and increase balance and core stability; and, the Yang Short Form of Tai Chi movements for relaxation and stimulation of the body through moving, balanced, meditation.
While not difficult exercises these age old forms of movement are among the most powerful known to us for unlocking energy.
