What better example can we have than the people we are honoring in this year’s Ad Journal? All of them have called the Y their home away from home. From the old days in Paterson, to our current building in Wayne, they have enjoyed and taken advantage of the wonderful resources and programs that we offer.

As much as things change, and they surely have, the Y has been a constant. However, that doesn’t just happen. It is because of the support of our members, the efforts of our dedicated staff, and the work of our board that the Y continues to serve the Jewish community of Wayne, the surrounding areas, and our membership in general.

We take pride in providing for the needs of our members. From early childhood programs, to youth and teenage activities, to our Physical Education department, sports programs, family events and senior get-togethers, we have it all. The Y is many and different things to each of us.

From time to time we reach out to our members for their financial support, such as for the Annual Journal. While this has become more difficult, it is necessary in order for us to reach our goals and attain our dreams. We welcome and need your contributions which are just another way of showing that you appreciate what we have done, and your desire for us to continue to provide what you want in the future.

We are committed to continuing in the positive direction that we are headed, and hope that in the future many more of you will be proud to be honored as 50 year members.

I look forward to the challenges I face as the President of the Y, and hope I can count on your support as we move forward.
